Partidos Plano: The Portuguese Premier Hockey League
The Portuguese Premier Hockey League (PPHL) is the top level of field hockey in Portugal. The league was founded in 1992, and is currently contested by eight teams. History

Format

International Competition
The PPHL champion qualifies for the EuroHockey Club Trophy, which is the third-tier of European club field hockey competition. Portuguese clubs have had some success in European competition, with Sporting Clube de Portugal winning the EuroHockey Club Trophy in 2004 and 2005.
Development
