The Premier League 2017/18 Season: A Thrilling Race to the Finish
The Premier League 2017/18 season has been one of the most exciting and unpredictable in recent memory. With just a few games remaining, the title race, the battle for the top four, and the relegation scrap are all still very much up for grabs.
Manchester City currently sit atop the table with 95 points, but they are being closely pursued by Manchester United, who have 92 points. Both teams have played 37 games, so City only need a draw in their final game of the season to secure the title. However, if they lose and United win, then the Red Devils will be crowned champions.
Liverpool are also in contention for the title, although they need City and United to slip up. The Reds have 90 points from 37 games, so they will need to win their final game and hope that City and United both lose.
The battle for the top four is also very tight. Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea currently occupy the third and fourth spots, respectively, but Arsenal and Liverpool are both just a few points behind. Tottenham have 81 points from 37 games, while Chelsea have 79. Arsenal have 79 points from 38 games, and Liverpool have 78 points from 37 games.
The race for the top four is likely to go down to the wire, with all four teams still in contention. Tottenham and Chelsea will be favorites to finish in the top four, but Arsenal and Liverpool will be hoping to pull off an upset.
At the other end of the table, the relegation battle is also very close. Swansea City and Southampton are both currently in the relegation zone, with just one point separating them. West Ham United are also in danger of being relegated, as they are just three points clear of the bottom three.
The relegation battle is likely to go down to the wire, with all three teams still in danger of going down. Swansea City and Southampton will be favorites to be relegated, but West Ham United will be hoping to avoid the drop.
